The studio hosted a fine art nude photography workshop recently. The workshop concentrated on posing and lighting to create classic fine art photos. The four hour workshop let everyone have plenty of time to shoot.
Recently The Studio hosted the Scottsdale Community College portrait photography class. 15 students a 3 models were in attendance. Dean Farrell led the class and provide some insight on lighting and posing. The students took advantage of the multiple sets to create a wide variety of portraits. We look forward to seeing them again.
Tuesday night Orcatek held an Introduction to Photography class at the studio. The four hour class covered how to use the features of the students cameras, some compositional guidelines and some basic posing. As usual the students had plenty of questions. A few students will be continuing their photographic journey with future classes once they have had some time to practice what they have learned so far.
This weekend The Studio hosted the SCC (Scottsdale Community College) fashion photography class. The class wanted a chance to shoot models in a large studio environment to see how it differed from the classroom. With the multiple shooting areas, there were 3-5 shoots going on at any given time.
Judging by some of the images I saw when reviewing the students work, they created some great photography during the workshop.
This weekend Orcatek Photography conducted their Introduction to Photography class again. The 4 hour class had a variety of students. Some just wanting to learn to use their cameras, others hoping to go and pursue photography further. The small class size allowed everyone to get some personal attention.
Orcatek Photography held a fine art nude photography workshop at The Studio this past week. The two day workshop featured 5 models over the various days. The workshop photographers were able to shoot in small groups with the models to make sure everyone had a chance to try out the techniques.
15 different lighting set-ups were shown and used by the students. Posing was discussed and as the students posed the models, Dean would point out how a slight change to a pose would make a big difference in the final photograph.
Special thanks to Dee for providing this behind the scenes photo.
