Universal Laser Systems rented The Studio to shoot promotional video and product stills of their laser equipment.   They have created the industry’s most comprehensive product line of laser engraving, marking, graphic imaging and cutting systems.

The Studio was chosen for their shoot for a couple of reasons.  First being the massive cove wall that allowed them to shoot a full line-up of their equipment as you can see in this dolly shot being done.  Secondly the large softbox allowed them to easily light all the equipment for their still photography.

More of the fabulous crew from 480 Magazine where photographed at The Studio by Orcatek Photography.   This time members of both the Glam Squad and the Bomb Squad were on hand.  Everyone had a great time during the shoot.

One more shoot for the rest of the Glam Squad should happen very soon, so keep your eyes open.

Loyd Parker Design custom pool table that can be a dining table was photographed at The Studio by photographer Randall Bohl.   The pool table is perfect for multi-functional rooms.  The top allows it to be used as a dinner table when not being used for pool.  The top also helps keep the table clean and free of dust.   Functional custom furniture is key to Loyd’s designs.

Randall chose to rent The Studio because of the wide shooting bay making it easy to shoot this large piece of furniture.   This is exactly why we designed our shooting bays to be as large as they are.  We wanted to make sure when you rented an area, you would have plenty of room for your photography.

Orcatek Photography held a fine art nude photography workshop at The Studio this past week.  The two day workshop featured 5 models over the various days.  The workshop photographers were able to shoot in small groups with the models to make sure everyone had a chance to try out the techniques.

15 different lighting set-ups were shown and used by the students.  Posing was discussed and as the students posed the models, Dean would point out how a slight change to a pose would make a big difference in the final photograph.

Hip hop artist K Fury was at The Studio this week filming his music video for his song Already Know.    The music video was directed by  Isaac Crawford and co-directed by Bryant Jarvies.   They will be using HDRV to create this video.   Be sure to check back in a few weeks for a link to then final video.

The Studio was chosen by Isaac as his video studio rental solution because of the little extras that were available for use.  His favorite tool was our video crane which allowed him to get some great production value for his project.  Isaac said he will definitely rent The Studio for his next music video production.

A Phoenix based synthpop band, Bella Lune, is filming a music video for their new track “The Dolly Pop Song” along with Chuck Harding from, Light Pulse Studios. You can hear this song on Bella Lune’s new album “Synesthesia” and online at bellalune.net. The music video will soon be posted to Bella Lune Music on YouTube.

Chuck Harding the was in charge of the production of this music video.  He rents The Studio for his video productions as he knows that he will have everything he needs to produce a quality product.

This week Orcatek Photography shot a wonderful group of models for 480 Magazine. The new lounge that has been added to our prop collection made a perfect setting for this shoot. Here is a quick shot of the models in between set-ups.

Director Ivan “Shade” Carmona came to The Studio to shoot a scene for his movie Deadly Motives. The military action film is expected to be completed Summer 2011.
